Palm South University: Season 3 from Kandi Steiner is LIVE!!

Season 3 Boxset-01

Drama. Lies. Sex.

Welcome to Palm South University.

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?

Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.

Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.

Season 3 Live-01

PSU is like my favorite guilty pleasure, except there’s no guilt, just pleasure. I started off telling myself I would read this slowly, I paced myself for the first three episodes and then I gave up. I HAD to know what was going to happen. This season all the episodes came out at the same time so you can binge through the whole season and it’s bittersweet because I kind of miss the thrill of waiting for a new episode but it’s also perfection because when you want things, you want them now.

I’ve always said PSU reads like your favorite TV and even though you get the whole season at once, it still does. You get to see the story through all these different points of view and get to catch up with a character in one episode while they’re in the background of the next and I love that feeling. I always have a favorite character in a TV show, one that I just feel more connected to than the rest and in PSU it is Cassie. (I might have also gotten Cassie twice in the which PSU character are you quiz, so it’s meant to be.) I just love going through the whole college experience with Cassie as she experiences the loss and start of love and friendships. She’s gone through so much and you feel like you’re going through everything right along with her.

While I love all the characters and could spend all day talking about every single piece of this season, I’m going to keep it short and sweet for this review and give you some of my absolute highlights of the season:

– Ashlei thriving at her internship- in a way I felt like a proud mom. Following the downs, and way downs that she’s gone through, I was so happy with her arc this season.

– Greg- surprising favorite new character. I want to talk turtles with him all day and I don’t know why.

– Cassie, my sweet, sweet Cassie went through a lot, but in the end she kind of grew some balls and stood up for herself in an amazing way and I was so happy. She’ll have to work to get back up but she’ll get there and it’ll be amazing.

– Bear asking Skyler for forgiveness- yes! this now makes Bear the best best friend in the history of best friends. I might have teared up… but I’m not telling.

– Adam- Adam is always perfection but he was EVERYTHING this season. I mean, he had his low points, but he’s still a college guy so it’s to be expected. Besides that though, I just grew to love him more as the season went on.

– Erin kicking ass all over the place- oh Erin, sometimes I worry about her, because sometimes she’s pretty terrible but you know everything she’s been through and you know she’s trying to pull through in the best way she can and I can’t help but admire her toughness. Even if it’s just a really tough shell to protect her inside, she’s working on it and kicking ass while she does.

Also… let’s talk about the Black Number Four easter eggs, cause there were plenty and I’m so glad I gave up my patience and already read it. But if you’ve been patient and waited, now is the time, read BN4, fall in love with Kip, just do it!

I might do something more, super spoiler filled because I just can’t let go of this season yet, but for now, I’ll just say that PSU is Kandi at her best. Yes, of course I love and die for the angst and pain of ALLTW, but this is something completely different and completely perfect. I love getting to check back in with these characters every season and grow right along with them. I just love it!

About the Author:

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.
